CIMEA has implemented a Credential Information Service – CIS, a service of certification and comparison of Italian and foreign qualifications, with a view to rendering qualifications increasingly more comprehensible and recognizable in a national and international context.
Attention: the service will be closed
from the 20th of December 2018 to the 11th of
January 2019. The service will reopen on the 14th of January 2019. Please note that the days of closure will not be
counted within the procedure’s issuing time.
Services on offer:
Credential Information Service - International: this is a service offered to
all foreign higher education qualification holders with a view to their evaluation
in Italy. This service answers the need to render foreign qualifications
increasingly comprehensible and recognizable within the Italian context.
The certificates available are as follows:
- Statement of comparability - university qualification
- Statement of comparability - secondary school leaving qualification
Credential Information Service – Italy: a service offered to all holders of Italian higher education qualifications with a view to their evaluation abroad. This service answers the need to render Italian qualifications increasingly comprehensible and recognizable within an international context.
The certificate available is as follows:
- Statement of qualification level
Services available for Higher Education Institutions:

- University of Perugia
- University of Catania
- University of Sassari
- University Iuav of Venezia
- University of Palermo

In the case of services offered, there are associated costs linked to the production of the formal documentation requested.
