Social media
CIMEA uses social media for institutional purposes and to raise awareness of its activities: it informs, communicates and publishes institutional and informative content.
The content published includes photographs, service information, news relating to CIMEA’s project activities and publishing initiatives.
Through its social media channels, CIMEA may share and repost content published by other users relating to the Centre's activities and research topics.
CIMEA is committed to managing communication spaces within its various social media profiles, asking its users to comply with a few simple rules:
- Everyone is asked to express their opinions fairly, moderately and respectfully.
- On social media, everyone is responsible for the content they publish and the opinions they express. Insults, vulgarity, offences, threats and, in general, violent or defamatory behaviour will not be tolerated.
- Published content must always respect people’s privacy. References to facts or details that are not of public relevance and that harm the personal sphere of third parties should be avoided.
- The relevance of the topics to CIMEA’s activities is an essential requirement: these spaces cannot be used for purposes other than institutional ones.
- Each discussion is linked to a specific topic: all participants are required to respect this, avoiding broadening the discussion in a generic and indiscriminate manner.
- 6)No form of advertising, spam or promotion of private interests or illegal activities will be tolerated.
- 7)Content that infringes copyright or the unauthorised use of registered trademarks is not permitted.
In any case, where social media allows, all posts, comments or audio/video materials will be removed by staff if they:
- contain inappropriate language and/or a threatening, violent, vulgar or disrespectful tone;
- contain illegal content or incite illegal activities;
- contain offensive, misleading or alarmist content, or content that violates the rights of third parties;
- disclose personal data and information or that may cause damage or harm the reputation of third parties;
- contain obscene, pornographic or child pornographic content, or content that may offend users’ sensibilities;
- contain content that is discriminatory on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, language, religious beliefs, political opinions, sexual orientation, age, personal and social conditions;
- promote or support illegal activities, violate copyright or misuse a registered trademark.
For those who repeatedly violate these conditions or those contained in the policies of the tools adopted, CIMEA reserves the right to ban or block users to prevent further interventions, and to report them to the platform managers and, if necessary, to the police.
Please also note that CIMEA profiles on social media platforms are not an official channel for obtaining information on projects and activities. Users are invited to use official communication channels such as institutional e-mails.
