CIMEA, MIUR and Italian universities are not involved in the procedures of visa issuance, which is the exclusive responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). The acceptance of a student by a higher education institution is no guarantee of a visa being issued.
